Abstract

The present investigation was related to find out the Bacillus diversity in citrus rhizosphere. The research survey entitled "Bacillus Diversity Analysis in Citrus Rhizosphere Soil" was carried out at Hingna tahsil of Nagpur district in the month of September, 2014. Soil contains bacterial count ranged from 36×103 to 53×103 cfu g−1 in low yielding soils while 45×103 to 108×103 cfu g−1 in optimum yielding and 86×103 to 132×103 cfu g−1 in high yielding citrus rhizosphere, Bacillus subtilis count ranged from 8×103 to 33×103 cfu g−1, Bacillus polymyxa ranged from 2×103 to 12×103 cfu g−1. Bacillus licheniformis ranged from 4×103 to 23×103 cfu g−1. Bacillus mycoides ranged 8×103 to 39×103 cfu g−1. Bacillus pumilus ranged from 1×103 to 11×103 cfu g−1 and Bacillus cereus count ranged 6×103 to 14×103 cfu g−1.
