Soybean is one of the most economically important bean in the world. Diseases are significant biotic restrictions in the production of soybean. Soybean charcoal rot, caused by Macrophomina phaseolina, is the important disease of soybean, resulting in significant yield losses. In the current investigation, five fungicides and three bio-agents were tested in vitro against Macrophomina phaseolina. Carboxin 37.5% + Thiram 37.5% DS and Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP recorded the 100% inhibition of mycelial growth of pathogen. Among the bio-agents, the maximum growth inhibition was observed with Trichoderma viride(58.33%), followed by Pseudomonas fluorescence (38.88%). Under greenhouse, Carboxin 37.5% + Thiram37.5% DS and Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP found effective and recorded 77.78 per cent charcoal rot disease control, followed by Thiophanate methyl 45% + Pyraclostrobin 5% FS(55.56%). Trichoderma viride resulted into 33.33 per cent disease control followed by Pseudomonas fluorescence 22.22 per cent disease control.
