Induction of Oestrus in Anoestrus Cows by Using non Hormonal Preparations.

For induction of oestrus in post partum anestrus cows non hormonal preparations were used and the non-hormonal preparation clomiphene citrate (Fertivet) induced oestrus within a period of 5 and 8 days with and without copper sulphate solution in cows respectively. The herbal preparation estrona forte bolus gave an encouraging results. Low vaginal electrical resistance recorded with estron instrument in oestrus as compared to other stages of oestrous cycle may prove helpful for detection of oestrus in cows.
