Bacterial blight of rice caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae is menace in rice cultivation. Ten botanicals, four bioagents and certain chemicals were evaluated against pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae and results revealed that among botanicals Curcuma longa and Eucalyptus grandifolia caused maximum inhibition of bacterial growth while bioagent Pseudomanas fluorescens and Trichoderma harzianum restricted maximum growth of pathogen. Among the chemicals copper oxychloride (0.25%) + Streptomycin sulphate (200 ppm) was found most effective as caused maximum percent inhibition as compared to other chemicals.
