Abstract

Field experiment was carried out during kharif season of 2003–2004 to study the effect of bioinoculants with reduced doses of inorganic fertilizers on flower quality and yield of tuberose. Use of bioinoculants with reduced doses of inorganic fertilizers Significantly influenced the spike yield and quality of tuberose. The yield and yield contributing characters like number of florets per spike and per plant, weight of loose flowers per plant and floret size were maximum with the application of recommended 75% NP and 100%K i,e. 150:225:200 kg ha−1 along with pre planting treatment of bulb with Azotobacter and PSB.
