Various isolates of Groundnut mosaic virus was transmitted only by Myzus persicae and Aphis craccivora. Adults of M. persicae and A, craccivora in a groups of 10 per test plant and given acquisition access for 10 min and inoculation access for 1S min gave maximum infection. Pre-acquisition starvation for 2 hrs was beneficial, while post-acquisition upto 2 hrs yielded low concentration. The feeding aphids lost infectivity after 60 min. The studies indicated non-persistent relationship of Groundnut mosaic virus with M. persicae and A. craccivora.
