Looking towards the importance of biological control as a component of Integrated Disease Management of plant pathogens the biocontrol activity of Trichoderma harzianum, Trichoderma viride, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subfflis was evaluated against Colletotrichum gloeosparioides Penz, causing leaf spot of clove (Syzygium aromticum L.). The bioagent Trichoderma viride.showed maximum i.e. 84.26 per cent growth reduction in growth of C. gloeosporioides than all other bioagents. Among the other bioagents Pseudomonas fluorescens (IISR-6), Trichoderma harzianum also showed effective control of 80% and 74.81 % respectively.
