Abstract

Disease severity influenced by weather factors, the incidence of root rot 9.67% (Rhizoctonia bataticola), leaf blight intensity was 18.67% caused by Colletotrichum dematium while Alternaria leaf blight was 21.00%. The pathogenicity was established with C. dematium and R. bataticola. Initiation of almost all the fungal diseases was observed during July, August coupled with rainfall and high humidity prevailed during preceding week. Contributory and profound effect of all the weather parameter was found to correlate with disease development.
