A study was conducted to identify the effect of different bio-control agents and botanical pesticides to control collar rot disease of chickpea. Mancozeb and Quintozene completely inhibited the growth of S. rolfsii and were found effective. Partially effective fungicides was Vitavax, Thiram and Carbendazim. The non-target pesticides recorded highest (76.7 %) inhibition in growth of the pathogen. All the botanical tested inhibited the fungal growth to varying extent and were considered effective over control. The collar rot of chickpea appeared significantly reduced and increased the grain yield over control.
