Efficacy of different fungicides and phytoextract were tested against green gram leaf blight caused by Macraphamina phaseolina. Amongst seven fungicides used maximum per cent disease control was recorded by one spraying of carbendazim + mancozeb (84.16%) followed by carbendazim (78.45%) and mancozeb (61.89%). Similarly, phytoextracts of eleven plant species evaluated in vitro against M. phaseolina from which onion bulb produced maximum growth inhibition (98.14%) followed by extract of acacia, ginger. The sclerotial formation was also not taken place in all these phytoextracts.
