Abstract

Efficacy of Rhizobium japonicum inoculation followed by pelleting with different pelleting materials were studied for their effect on nodulation, plant height and plant dry matter on soybean at room temperature (26–27°C) for 5 days and 30°C for 5 days storage of treated seed and observation taken regarding growth of plant after 35 days of sowing. Overall room temperature for 5 days storage was best for storage of treated seed and lignite base slurry inoculation + gum arable + lime pelleting treatment gave significant result followed by lignite base slurry inoculation + gum arable + bentonite pelleting over uninoculated and unpelleted control treatment.
