Abstract

Ten soybean genotypes during the year 2OO5–20O6 and fourteen during 2006–2007 were evaluated for their reaction to rust in field condition at Agricultural Research Station, Kasbe Digraj. Rust resistance in these genotypes was quantified by using AUDPC formula. Results indicated that DS 228 has slow rusting character expressing low AUDPC value as compared to control. Other soybean genotypes either had AUDPC values nearer to susceptible genotypes or more than these genotypes, hence are not suitable for growing in rust hot spot areas in western Maharashtra.
