Abstract

The experiment on integrated management of turcicum leaf blight caused by ExserohUum turcicum (Pass.)Leonard and Suggs were conducted during kharif 2008 at Agricultural Research Station, Arabhavi in a randomized block design with three replications. Integration of effective seed treatment with biological control agent or chemical seed dressing followed by foliar spray with fungicide or fungicide and plant extract were found more effective against TLB and resulted in increased grain yield. Significantly lowest PDI (25.66%) and maximum grain yield (65.48 q/ha) was recorded in seed treatment with carboxin 200 FF (2ml/kgl followed by two sprays of mancozeb (0.25%) at 40 and 50 DAS which is statistically on par with the seed treatment with Trichoderma harzianum (6g/kg) followed by two spray of mancozeb (0.25%) as compared control, wherein it recorded the highest PDI (61.88%) and lowest grain yield (54.88q/ha).
