The Colletotrichum blight affect number of fields of Piper longum and thus management of this disease in vitro and in vivo was under taken. Among chemicals mancozeb + carbendazim (@ 0.2%) was found most effective to inhibit 96.26 per cent growth followed by carbendazim (@ 0.1%) (68.34%), mancozeb (@ 0.25%) (67.51%) and copper oxychloride (@ 0.3%) 64.88%). Amongst bioagents Trichoderma viride was found effective to inhibit the growth of pathogen upto 70.42 per cent, in field experiment spraying of mancozeb + carbendazim (@ 0.2%) was found effective in reducing disease intensity (18.70%) with 33.38 per cent disease control followed by carbendazim (@ 0.1%) (19.38%), copper oxychloride (@ 0.3%) (19.62%) and Trichoderma viride (6 × 107 CFU/ml) with 20.08 % disease intensity having 30.95, 30.10 and 28.46 per cent disease control.
