Abstract

Myrothecium leaf spot was observed on Bt cotton Paras atal, Ankur 3028 in the vicinity of Akola Jai and Krishna paras in Buldhana district of Vidarbha. The per cent disease intensity on leaves was 1.5 to 2.5 per cent. The symptoms were observed on foliage, petioles, bracts and bolls. The pathogen was isolated and confirmed on the basis of morphological characters and proved the pathogenicity on variety KDCH 9632 Bt Carbendazim, mancozeb, chlorothalonil, penconazole and difenconazole at different concentration (i.e. 50, 125, 250 and 500 ppm) were tested for their efficiency against Myrothecium roridum in vitro. All the tested fungicides were effective in reducing the radial mycelial growth over control. Maximum inhibition was observed in carbendazim, penconazole, and difenconazole in all concentration followed by chlorothalonil and mancozeb.
