Abstract

Intensity of leaf blight caused by the Alternaria alternata was assessed (42.63%) on the basis of leaf covered by the disease. Root rot caused by Fusarum solani was 24.55%. The pathogenicity was established with Fusarium solani and Alternaria alternata. Initiation of leaf blight and root rot diseases was observed during September and October coupled with rainfall and high humidity prevailed during preceding weeks. Contributory and profound effect of all weather parameters was found to correlate with diseases development. Among the botanicals maximum inhibition of Alternaria alternata and Fusarium solani was achieved in eucalyptus leaf extract (78.75%) and ProsOfts Juliflora (71.25%).
