Abstract

Brown plaster mould caused by Papulaspora byssina, is common disease in mushroom cultivation which reduce yield significantly. Among the fungicide against Brown plaster mould (P. byssina) pathogen Topsin M-70 (75 ppm) was found best with less affecting the growth of A. bisporus is, in vitro condition. Further, combination of Topsin M-70 + Blitox-50 each at 50 ppm was found best for inhibiting the growth of P. byssina followed by Bavistin 50 WP + Blitox-50 (each at 100 ppm). In case of botanicals, Garlic extract (10 g/100 ml) gave best results for inhibiting the growth of P. byssina followed by Garlic extract (7.5 g/100 ml) and Azadiractin (0.75 ml/100 ml), as both the treatments have not inhibited the growth of A. bisporus.
