Abstract

Eight different nutritional sources like carbon, nitrogen, phosphates, amino acids, salts, vitamins, micro elements and oxides were tested to observe the growth response of carbendazim sensitive (GA-9) and resistant (GA-6) GZoeosporium ampelophagum. Amongst different sources; fructose, calcium nitrate, di-potassium hydrogen orthophosphate, tyrosine, calcium chloride, D-biotin, manganese sulphate and zinc oxide were most favourable for the growth of the pathogen. However, D-galactose, ammonium nitrate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, cysteine, ammonium chloride and cobaltous sulphate were unfavorable when compared with control. The pathogen responded to a wide range of nutritional sources with considerable variation in its utilization. Nutritional requirement of resistant isolate,is more than sensitive.
