Abstract

The present studies were undertaken to investigate the efficient usage of bio-control agent Serratia marcescens, nicotinic acid (NA) and Panchakavya (PK -organic product) for the successful integrated management of rice blast caused by Pyricularia oryzae. Combined application of SMS (seed treatment with S.marcescens @ 10 g/kg of IR 50 rice seed), NA1 (foliar application of NA @ 0.1 per cent 15 days after transplanting (DAT)) and PK2 (foliar application of PK @ 5 per cent on 30 DAT) significantly reduced the rice blast disease incidence and increased biometrics and yield parameters in both pot and field trials.
