Experiment were carried out to study the combined effect of urban waste compost and biofertilizers on uptake and residual effect of nutrients in soybean crop consisting individual and compounded treatment of UWC, Bradyrhizobium japonicum, PSB and reduced RDCF. The applied Bradyrhizobium japonicum nodulated the roots efficiently and fixed nitrogen for effective uptake. PSB solubilzed phosphate. UWC enriched the soil by organic matter and offered the matrix conducive for establishment of applied and native plant growth promoting rhizobacteria. The reduced RDCF supplemented nutrients adequately and the applied consortium of biofertilizers increased the availability and residual effect of these nutrients, thus saves chemical fertilizers. Overall, effect of UWC, biofertilizers and reduced RDCF in soybean crop increase the uptake, residual effect of nutrients and reduces the quantity of chemical fertilizers.
