Abstract

The objective of this paper is to discuss the impact of global governance on international law and the emerging trends in the context of international trade and environment. It gives a brief picture of the global governance taking place in the field of international trade and environment. At the same time it also discusses the conflicting interests existing between the international trade and environment. The scheme of the article is as follows: It discusses the meaning and basis of global governance. Then moving on, it explains in detail the governance taking place in the field of international trade and environment. The next aspect discussed in the article is the conflict between the international trade and its effects on environment. Finally, it concludes with some suitable suggestions. The researchers have written the article using doctrinal method of research, which involves the collection of data from the secondary sources such as books, articles, information available on internet.
