Abstract

The rose buds cut at tight bud stage did not exhibit any loss in keeping quality when subjected to simulated transit vibrations in precooled 5 ply thick corrugated fibre board (CFB) teleboxes for 24 hours. The mechanical strength of stem was better when wrapped in polyethylene sleeves than in corrugated paper. The mechanical strength of CFB teleboxes increased after simulated transit vibrations for 24 hours.
