Training needs of farm-women of the submountain undulating zone (zone-I) and Central Plain Zone (Zone-Ill) were determined in the technologies relating to the operations of crop production, grain storage and cattle management. Training need intensity of the farm women of both the zones was highest for the technologies of grain storage followed by crop production whereas for skills, training need intensity was high for crop production. Subject-matter area-wise for crop production in Zone I, training need intensity was highest for sowing and fertilizer application and lowest in land preparation. Whereas in Zone III it was high for seed preparation of wheat crop as compared to the seed preparation of paddy crop. In grain storage, farm women felt this was higher in the area of prestoring practices (Zone I) and grain storing practices in the bins (Zone III) and lowest in surface storing practices. Training need intensity for skill competency in various subject matter areas was highest for the technologies for hoeing and weeding in the activity of crop production, grain storing practices in bins in grain storage activity and disease management in the activity of cattle management.
