A Study on Anthropometric Measurements of College Going Girls

A sample of 200 undergraduate girls from different constituent Colleges of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana was selected. A format was prepared for listing the vertical and round (horizontal) body measurements at particular levels and these were recorded by using proper equipments. Correlation and inter-correlation were computed to see the relationship between the various body measurements. The treatment of data in different ways indicated that all the length and girth measurements were positively correlated with each other. The division of round bust measurement into four equal groups and other body measurement fell in these groups found appropriate. Further it was found that maximum number of respondents fell in group second and third, so these two groups were combined to form three sizes i.e. small, medium and large.
