Fifteen genotypes of Spanish bunch groundnut (Arachis hypgaea L.) were evaluated in 12 pertinent environments for estimating correlations and path coefficients for seventeen characters. Number of pods had highest phenotypic correlation with pod yield per plant, followed by harvest index and number of fruiting nodes per plant. Main shoot height, number of secondary branches and 100-kernel weight were negatively correlated with protein content. The number of primary branches had maximum positive direct effect on pod yield, which was followed 100-kernel weight, sound mature kernel percentage, harvest index and number of fruiting nodes. Main shoot height had largest negative direct effect on pod yield. The number of secondary branches had highest indirect effect via number of primary branches and also via 100-kernel weight, sound mature kernel percentage and harvest index.
