Abstract

Sixteen genotypes of sprouting broccoli were tested in a randomized block design with three replications. Majority of the charaters had highly significant and positive correlations with total yield. Total mineral matter was negatively and significantly correlated with yield. The path analysis revealed highest positive direct effect of average weight of primary sprout on total yield followed by yield of axillary sprouts per plant, diameter of primary sprout and number of axillary sprouts per plant. Highest indirect effect on total yield was through yield of axillary sprouts per plant, harvesting span, axillary sprouts per plant, plant height and days to 50% harvest via weight of primary sprout.
