Abstract

Experiment was conducted during 1991 -92 and 1992–93 to study the effect of two sowing (Nov. 15 and Dec. 20) dates, three wheat (WL 711. HD 2329 and PBW 222) varieties and four chemical treatments in constraining the wheat yield. Pooled analysis of grain yield data revealed that Nov. 15 sowing recorded significant increase over Dec. 20 sowing but the differences among the wheat varieties were not significant. The chemical treatment T1 (Vitavax + Rogar + Tilt) registered a significant increase in grain yield over other chemical treatments.
