Abstract

An elaborative study was conducted to standardize the technology of hybrid seed production of newly developed chilli hybrid ‘CH-3’ released by the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana for cultivation in the state. Treatments included variable plant spacings of female parent (MS-12) with constant planting distance of the male parent (S-2530). The present study concluded that crop should be planted at 60 cm between rows alongwith intra row spacings of 20 cm and 45 cm of female and male parent plants, respectively for getting higher seed yield of ‘CH-3’. A female: male ratio of 2:1 was most optimum for getting the highest seed yield.
