Improving the Efficacy of Isoproturon by Tank Mixing with Other Herbicides

Field experiments were conducted at the research farm of the Department of Agronomy, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana from 1995–96 to 1997–98 to assess the performance of tank mix application of isoproturon with pendimethalin or diclofop-methyl for the control of Phalaris minor in wheat. All tank mix applications provided improved control of P. minor as compared to their sole applications. Tank mix application of isoproturon with either pendimethalin or diclofop-methyl increased grain yield of wheat from 5–11 q/ha as compared to single application of isoproturon or pendimethalin.
