The present study was undertaken to study the training needs of vegetable growers in Sangrur district of Punjab with the specific objective to study the training needs of farmers in selected areas of vegetable cultivation. It was found that all the farmers had medium training need intensity in all the areas of vegetable cultivation, under study. It was found that in the sub area “irriagtion requirement for vegetable crops”, the cauliflower growers had highest TNQ value of 0.59 followed by 0.47 for okra growers. The sub-area ‘amount of fertilizer application’. Spong gourd growers had a highest TNQ value of 0.56 followed by okra growers in the sub-area;Time of fertilizer application. Okra growers had highest TNQ value of 0.63 in the sub-area’ selection of plant protection chemicals. Their doses and time of application’ In the sub area ‘Identification of proper stage of marketing of fruits before harvesting’ cauliflower growers had highest TNQ value of 0,58.
