The increasing popularity of readymade garments has led to the mass production of readymade garments in a large variety. But these garments may not possibly be able to satisfy each and every consumer in all the construction details. Therefore, a study has been planned to find out the extent of satisfaction attained from the construction of readymade garments purchased by the adolescent girls. 200 girls (12–16 years) of VII to X classes were selected through stratified random sampling from 6 schools of Ludhiana city, Punjab. The study revealed that adolescent girls were more satisfied with the new and in-fashion styles of their garments; their colour combination of decoration and basic materials; with the finishing, cutting, hem allowances, placket opening and seam stitches of the garments; and with the quality of fasteners and size and quality of elastic used.
