A field experiment was conducted during 2006–07 and 2007–08 to study the effect of weed control methods for the control of Phalaris minor in wheat and to find out the critical population level of Phalaris minor. The presence of Phalaris minor caused considerable reduction in dry matter production, effective number of tillers, chlorophyll index and ultimately yield of wheat crop. Reduction in wheat yield was mainly attributed to reduction in the number of effective tillers, lesser number of grains per spike and lesser 1000-grain weight.
