An easy, simple and efcient analytical method (QuEChERS) was standardized and validated for the estimation of residues of carbendazim in kinnow (Citrus reticulata Blanco) pulp and rind. Final extracts of ethyl acetate were concentrated under vacuum and reconstituted into hPLC grade methanol, and residues were estimated using high performance liquid chromatograph (hPLC) equipped with PDA detector system, C18 column. hPLC grade acetonitrile: water (80: 20) was used as mobile phase @ 0.3 mL/min. Carbendazim presented distinct peak at retention time of 13.438 min. Consistent recoveries ranging from 80 to 96 per cent for carbendazim were observed when samples were spiked at 0.05, 0.10, 0.25 and 0.50 mg kg−1 levels. The limit of quantifcation (LOQ) and limit of detection (LOD) of this method were worked out to be 0.05 and 0.017 mg kg−1.
