Males and females are different biologically and these differences determine their chance of living and health, but when this difference is associated with any alterable behaviour like gender value in society then it becomes inequity. Natural sex ratio of male to female has more number of females as compared to males throughout life. But in South Asia natural sex ratio has been altered and there are more males as compared to females due to female foeticide, infanticide and intentional neglect of daughters.
