Posters are a common mode of presenting research data at scientific conferences and meetings. Designing an effective poster calls for a thorough understanding of the content and technical details to be incorporated in different components of the poster. An effectively designed poster serves the purpose of transferring the research to the target audience as well as provides the author a platform to interact with other researchers for future directions. This review attempts to focus on the finer details of designing an appealing research poster.
