Abstract

To evaluate the effect of capsule renocap in the expulsion of urinary tract calculi, thus decreasing the incidence of surgical removal and avoiding extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

The study was conducted on 50 patients suffering from renal calculus disease admitted in surgical wards of Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar.

A total of 64% of patients were stone free on ultrasound examination after taking capsule renocap for 1.5 months, while 80% of the patients were stone free after 3 months of treatment with renocap.
