Abstract

The present study aims to know the preference of the students for various audio visual aids used in didactic lectures in a medical college.

A questionnaire was given to 271 students of I MBBS to know their preference for a particular audio visual aid during didactic lectures. Preference of aid for diagrams, flowcharts, lectures and writing notes was evaluated through the questionnaire.

Majority of the students preferred use of either mix of audio visual aids or power point for different aspects of learning.

The present study gives information about the preference of students for different audio visual aids which may be used to improve the quality of the didactic lectures in medical teaching.
