Despite the efforts for making contraceptives widely available, there is poor acceptance due to ignorance or fear of complications using them other than social, traditional and financial limitations. KAP of postpartum contraception among females of reproductive age is a study to know prevailing contraceptive awareness and also to educate.
The primary tool for relevant data collection used in this study was pre designed questionnaire. Participants were enrolled after they provided written informed consent.
In this study 70% of the mothers practiced one or other contraceptive method whereas, 30% did not use any method of contraception. The use of contraceptive was significantly higher in participants who had a basic education of primary or more level.
Study revealed the direct relationship between practice of contraception and the educational status of participants.
