Evaluation of attitude of second year medical students towards various medical teaching methodologies.
Study was conducted among second year medical students of Madurai Medical College. Questionnaire was framed to assess student's attitude towards various teaching methodologies. Questionnaire was distributed, collected back, analysed and the results were expressed in descriptive statistics.
Questionaries were answered by all the students (n=150), male responders were 60% while the rest were female; 68% of students felt that they cannot clearly see what is written on the blackboard; nearly 50% felt that Power Point presentation makes them sleepy; 83% of students felt that Powe Points with video presentations help them to understand things better. Group discussion at the end of each chapter was felt to be useful by 41%; 56% felt that MCQ discussion at the end of each chapter will be useful to them.
Study helped us to understand the perception of students which will help us to improve our teaching methodologies according to their needs.
