Students are stressed and even depressed at the time of exams in medical colleges. All the departments conduct routine internal assessment (IA) tests to lessen their stress.
The performance of the students in IA tests and its implications in the university exams is analysed.
The performance of the students in IA tests and university exams in biochemistry and pharmacology of three consecutive batches are compared and analysed. The values are expressed as averages and percentages.
The students perform better and in a uniform manner in the second year compared with first year in IA tests, and this difference is exhibited in the university exams also.
