Abstract

This article provides basic and comprehensive insights into the nature of learning-the concepts that assist the teachers in improving student learning. The teaching performance can be easily improved by understanding the underlying principles that will affect the learning. Teaching and learning are the two sides of the coin. Learning and development is emerging as a strong force to drive organisational excellence by reinventing its perspectives and practices. Many literatures are available regarding education psychology but this article reflects on the influence of metacognition to develop a good teacher, with the help of basic teaching skills in teaching process which will explain to bring behavioural modification in students. For a teacher's performance, application of metacognition can be represented.
