Abstract

With the spurt in the number of medical colleges and upcoming competency-based curriculum in India necessitate the appropriate training of faculty to produce good-quality teachers. Hence, it is pertinent to provide adequate opportunities to the teachers for their professional growth and career advancement through faculty-development programmes (FDPs). Online FDP is one of the delivery modes of conducting a FDP, and it is fast becoming a very common mode for learning and FDP. But major problem is that no standard models are available for learning and conducting FDP through online mode. In this paper, we are sharing our experiences to orient the facilitators that it requires lot of preparation and activities before we can use this mode meaningfully.
