The temperature ranged from 21–23°C and 23–27°C favoured the mycelial growth of Alternaria brassicae and A. brassicicola respectively in vitro. Lower temperature (23°C) was found optimum for growth of A. brassicae as compared to 25°C for A. brassicicola. Maximum sporulation was supported by 23–25°C temperature whereas 23–27° C temperature supported maximum sporulation for A. brassicicola.
