Abstract

Picking of silkworm for forced seriposition revealed that most of the commercial characters remain unaffected after 24 feed (6 days) and 22 feed (5 days) in spring and autumn seasons respectively. Prolongation of the instar results in losses by way of greater mortality in seriposition. Thus limited leaf resources can be managed properly for optimal results.
