Correlation coefficient of yield components were conducted using 27 genotypes of garden pea including exotic, indigenous and improved stable lines maintained at GBPUAT, Pantnagar to asses the nature of association between twelve quantitative characters. Green pod yield per plant had significant and positive correlation with pod length, number of green pods per plant and 100-green pod weight at genotypic and same at phenotypic correlation level except pod length whereas significant negative correlation coefficient were recorded with days to first flowering, number of first flowering nodes, number of nodes per main stem and plant height, indicating selection for longer pods, more number and weight of green pods per plant, early flowering, flowering at lower nodes, less number of nodes per main stem and dwarf plants would be highly desirable and effective.
