The silvipastoral experiment consisting of three multipurpose tree species viz Grewia optiva, Leucaena leucocephala, and Morus alba pollarded at three different pollarding heights viz., 1, 2 and 4 m with three number of replications was laid out in simple Randomized Block Design (RBD). Observations were recorded on floristic composition and phytosociology of herbage layer which includes frequency, density and basal area. The response of pollarding heights viz., 1, 2 and 4 m on floristic composition and phytosociology of herbage layer of three multipurpose tree species of mid Himalaya showed that floristic composition of herbage vegetation vary in experimental area. The number of herbage species were more in association with Morus alba pollarded at 4 m mixed with Leucaena leucocephala pollarded at 1 m height during both the years. Different herbage species showed varying phytosociological attributes at different times with higher values of frequency and density in association with Morus alba pollarded at 4 m mixed with Leucaena leucocephala pollarded at 1 m height and basal area in association with Grewia optiva pollarded at 4 m height.
