Utilization of communication sources and channels among dairy farmers of Jammu region

The study was conducted in Akhnoor and R.S. Pura blocks of Jammu district (Jammu and Kashmir State) following proportionate random sampling technique with a sample of 200 dairy farmers to analyze and understand their extent of utilization of communication sources and channels. The analysis of information collected by personal interview method revealed that majority of the respondents (73.50%) had medium level of utilization of communication sources and channels. Personal localite sources were the most used information sources by the dairy farmers followed by personal cosmopolite sources and impersonal cosmopolite channels. A significant difference between small, medium and large dairy farmers was found with respect to utilization of communication sources and channels.
