Abstract

A field experiment was carried out at S.K. University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir with an aim to find the integrated nutrient management practices for efficient rice-besreem cropping system during kharif 1998 to kharif 2000. Among the organic manures, inoculation with BGA though on par with application of Dal weed produced highest grain yield than FYM application during all the three years of experimentation except during kharif 2000 where FYM realized significantly higher grain yield than BGA. Application of 100% recommended NPK and Zn recorded higher grain and straw of rice than other lowest recommended doses of inorganic fertilizers and control. However, application of organic manures coupled with fertilizers increased the grain and straw yield of rice in rice berseem cropping system significantly up to 75% of recommended fertilizer dose with an concomitant increase in the N uptake.
