The available nitrogen and AB-DTPA-extractable macro (P, K, Ca, Mg and S) micronutrient cations (Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn) and anions (B and Mo) and their relationship with different soil properties were studied in twenty-one surface samples of newly established location of SK University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology-Jammu, at Chattha, (J&K). The soils were in general low in N, P and K, the average values being 159, 14 and 87 kg ha−1 respectively. The average content of available Ca, Mg and S in soil was 301, 201 and 20 mg kg−1 respectively. Among micronutrients, only B was deficient, the average value being 0.45 mg kg−1, the rest of the micronutrients were sufficient in soils. Step-down multiple regression equations were computed to predict relationships between soil physico-chemical properties and available nutrients.
