The present paper deal with vermicomposting of different organic wastes i.e. leaves and stems cuttings of grape vine, residues of jowar, wheat and sugarcane. The nutrient values of vermicompost were analyzed with respect to carbon-nitrogen ratio, phosphorous, potassium, calcium, magnesium and manganese contents. The degree of humification of vermicompost is also determined. The manurial value of the vermicompost was evaluated on the growth of Coriander sativum L, Trigonella foenumgraecum, Allium sativum L and Allium cepa and data were recorded. The data indicate that vine yard wastes are better than jowar, sugarcane and wheat in the sense of nutrient compositions and plant growth, but seed germination is better in sugarcane vermicompost.
